An assessment of renewable energy development in energy mix for Togo
This study presented the view of key stakeholders in relation to renewable energy development (mainly solar and hydropower) in the energy mix of Togo, highlighting the current energy situation and actions planned for the development to increase energy access in Togo.
Togo: Energy Country Profile
To reduce CO 2 emissions and exposure to local air pollution, we want to transition our energy systems away from fossil fuels towards low-carbon sources. Low-carbon energy sources include nuclear and renewable technologies.
Clean Energy Annex Togo Case Study
equitable, well-developed clean energy sector in Togo and across West Africa, Dr. Azoumah and his colleagues at KYA Energy Group launched the KYA Foundation in October of 2022, creating an arm of the organization dedicated to expanding access to education, training, and employment opportunities in renewable energy.
Togo
The country has a relatively diversified energy mix and more than 13% of its final energy consumption comes from renewable supplies of energy, mainly hydropower. Less than half of the Togolese population has access to electricity.

ENERGY PROFILE Togo
developing areas. Energy self-sufficiency has been defined as total primary energy production divided by total primary energy supply. Energy trade includes all commodities in Chapter 27 of the Harmonised System (HS). Capacity utilisation is calculated as annual generation divided by year-end capacity x 8,760h/year. Avoided
Sustainable and climate-friendly basic energy services
The Togolese Government has improved the prerequisites for decentralised and climate-friendly basic energy services. In particular, people living in rural areas and women and young adults are benefiting from a better supply of decentralised energy from renewable energy sources. Approach

Togo: Solar PV plant to provide +700,000 people with electricity
The plant, in Sokodé, in the centre of the country, will supply clean, renewable energy to more than 700,000 people who currently have limited access to electricity. More than 200 local jobs will be created during the construction and operation of the plant.
Creating a solar roadmap for the Republic of Togo
This paper describes the processes and initial results for developing a Solar Roadmap for the Republic of Togo, West Africa. The activity followed the IEA/ISA procedure described in the "Solar Energy, Mapping the Road Ahead" document. The roadmap development committee included members from Togo, Europe, Asia, and the United States.
